THE GRYPHON
Editor-in-Chief 24'-25'
My current role is as The Gryphon's Editor-in-Chief. Responsible for roles such as:

Editing, producing, and distributing our monthly print edition.

Creating and updating style guides, media packs, e.t.c
-
Regulating our online posts, and ensuring that our sub-section editors are abiding by editorial rules and regulations.
-
Financing and organising funding / sponsorship.
-
Managing an editorial team of nearly 50 sub section editors.
With my first semester in the job concluded, I have made several notable achievements running the publication:
-
Almost tripling the publication's size. With nearly 50 editors (up from a previous 23), 350 writers, and 200 official paying members.
-
Regaining our financial control, raising over £4000 in funds, and recovering us from quadruple figures of debt.
-
Bringing colour and life back to our pages, in order to further engage the student body, including the creation and introduction of 'section logos' and themes.
-
Introducing regular monthly 'columns' to our print edition, including award-winning 'The Girls Got Guts.'
-
Holding a sold-out launch event for the October Edition of our print, complete with an awards event, including open-mic, celebrating the talent of our writers beyond the pen.
-
Creating a community like never before, making our office a safe, welcoming, and inclusive 'cosy' space for all.
Over the next five months, I will be:
-
Holding industry talks with external members of the media, including holding a session for those that do not speak English as a first language.
-
Re-organising the way in which our editorial team approaches articles, introducing Google 'tracked changes' and holding editorial processes to higher standards.
-
Expanding the newspaper off-campus, into local cafe's, shops, and bars.
-
Preparing the necessary editorial and contributor guides, to ensure that those following my time as E.I.C feel prepared and supported for years to come.
Before my role as Editor-in-Chief, I had contributed to The Gryphon for the previous 3 years, holding the role of Arts and Culture Editor.

DRIVE THRU- AN F1 PODCAST
Founder and Host
January 2023 was the month that Drive Thru, a Formula One podcast on Spotify was created. Weekly episodes covered the world of motorsport racing in a relaxed, down-to-earth and understandable manner, including new guests featuring alongside myself and my co-host, Lucas Stott.
'Whether you're new to the sport, or a veteran, hopefully we'll be able to bring some fun to the season. All whilst getting down, dirty, and serious with the world of Formula One Racing.'
Drive Thru is currently undergoing some creative re-vamping, as we hope to bring it back in the future.
